- Both packages include a continental breakfast. The Cruise & Snooze package also includes a glass of wine, beer, soft drink or bottled water and nibbles during the cruise. Can we bring alcohol onboard?
- Yes, you can as long as consumption of alcohol is in moderation. Intoxication and cruising, moving around on board, embarking or disembarking are a dangerous mix.
Will Sandra and Peter be staying?
- Yes we will. We have our own cabin and ensuite in the starboard hull.
How do I book?
- We do not intend to offer Cruise & Snooze packages until January 2020; prior to this time we will register with an accommodation agency to manage all bookings.
What if I need to cancel?
- Cancellations will be managed by our appointed accommodation agency.
Is it safe?
Your safety is our #1 priority. The following safety precautions include but are not limited to:
- We will not set sail in wind greater than 25knots or seas greater than 2.5metres.
- Sea Goddess carries a life boat and sufficient life jackets for all crew and passengers, including children where applicable.
- Prior to setting sail, a safety demonstration will be conducted. Yes, just like Qantas!
- Our crew have completed several training courses and are certified in boat handling, navigation, seamanship, and advanced first aid.
What if I get seasick?
- Seasick bags are available for use if a passenger gets seasick. There is a view that seasickness is a psychological phenomenon, but Sandra does not subscribe to that view having experienced the signs and symptoms of seasickness on many occasions. There is no one full proof remedy, what works for one person may not work for another. Some common management strategies: being on deck facing the breeze; hypnotherapy, acupuncture, reducing the intake of fatty foods, large meals and gassy drinks prior to and during sailing; oral medications; patches; and wearing a sea band (acupressure). If the collywobbles happen, we’ll manage it together.
What should I wear?
Be guided by the weather and be prepared for a change in weather!
We recommend the following:
- layering is the way to go, comfortable casual clothing
- swimming gear
- sun hat or cap (that can be secured if the wind picks up)
- a jacket, cardigan or hoodie
- sailing shoes, socks (with grips on the bottom are best), or bare feet.
NB All footwear other than that listed above to be removed on boarding.
